After descending the stairs in the New York 9\/11 Museum, you come into Foundation Hall. Immediately to the left you will see a very large wall with a piece of art created by Spencer Finch. It consists of 2,983 square tiles, each tile a different shade of blue, to commemorate every life lost on 9\/11 and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. On the wall is an evocative quote by Virgil that reads, “No day shall erase you from the memory of time.” <\/p>\n

If you continue walking toward the north tower in the New York 9\/11 museum, you will come across a number of destroyed vehicles such as an ambulance and the completely destroyed fire truck of firefighting unit Charger 3. The Ladder 3 team was one of the first fire units to arrive at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately, Ladder 3’s fire truck was severely damaged by falling debris from the collapsing Twin Towers.
