In the spring and fall (March, April, May and October), it is open until 7:00 p.m., and in the summer months (June, July, August and September) it is even open until 9:00 p.m.

Please note that the Montjuïc Cable Car may be temporarily closed in bad weather, such as high winds. In addition, annual maintenance takes place between late January and mid-February, so the cable car is not available during that period.

Is the Montjuïc Cable Car worth it?

During our visit to Barcelona, we chose to take the Montjuïc Cable Car to the castle. From the moment we boarded, it felt like a little adventure. As the gondola went up, the views became more and more impressive. We could see the city, the sea and even the airport in the distance.

The ride itself was short but extraordinary. At the top of Montjuïc Castle, we enjoyed a panoramic view of Barcelona. The only downside? The cable car is not cheap, especially for a ride that only takes a few minutes. Still, we found it a unique experience and a nice way to climb the mountain. For us, it was definitely worth it!
